Working with preschool through high school aged students, Ashley has assessed and supported hundreds of students as it relates to Specific Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Emotional Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Visual Impairments, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, and Other Health Impairments. In addition to Psychoeducational Assessments, she has extensive experience in behavioral consultation, crisis intervention, Special Education consultation and collaboration, and development of both Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Her deep understanding of educational practices, navigating the complexities of school districts, and laws related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) have assisted districts in supporting a wide array of students effectively.
Beyond her role as a School Psychologist, she has served as the Lead School Psychologist for three years providing professional development, leadership, and mentorship to a team of 22 school psychologists in Ventura Unified School District. This role further included updating and training in Suicide Risk Assessment for the district, leading School Psychologist through consultation, collaboration, and professional development, and collaborating with district and site leadership to improve practices and procedures.
